Applications & Deadlines

Planning and Zoning applications requiring review by the Planning Commission need to be submitted by the noted deadlines in order to be properly reviewed and noticed for public hearing if required. Review the following planning applications and forms. If you have questions about an application and supporting materials, process, or any other planning and zoning questions please contact 952-955-2681 or email Jake Foster, City Administrator.

The City of Watertown requires applications to be received at least 30 days in advance of each Planning Commission meeting.  The Planning Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month.  The City Council will consider recommendations from the Planning Commission on the fourth Tuesday of each month at their regular city council meeting.

The Comprehensive Plan is a guiding document for the orderly development of the community. This document is updated every ten years and lays the groundwork for how and where residential, commercial, industrial, and open space is developed within the community. It also guides the transportation, recreation, and public infrastructure like water and sewer, that will connect the developing and existing community together.
